New Fee Charged from Producers of Electricity in Latvia – Capacity Reservation Charge

From the year 2023, a fee shall be charged from producers of electricity for reservation of the system’s capacity/standby which has been approved by the Latvian Public Utilities Commission (PUC) under a decision passed on the 12th of January. Official electronic address – mandatory for all legal entities in Latvia from 1 January 2023

Already as of 1 January 2023, all legal entities – private and public limited liability companies, associations, foundations and other legal entities registered in the registers in Latvia – are obliged to register and use an official e-address or digital mailbox.

The Council agreed to extend the prohibition of various services and decided to include architectural and engineering services as well as IT consultancy services and legal advisory services.
